CBD Recipes: Chee Chickpea Rice

HERE IS WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

    • 2 tbsp CBD ghee*
    • 2 cups water divided
    • 1/2 cup raw basmati rice
    • ¼ cup raw chickpeas [soaked overnight in water and a pinch of baking powder]
    • ½ tomato
    • ½ onion
    • 1 bayleaf
    • ¼ tsp cumin seeds
    • ¼ tsp turmeric
    • ¼ tsp paprika
    • Salt to taste

HERE IS YOUR METHOD:

  1. In a pan bring 1 cup of water to a boil, add the rice, bring heat to a low cover pan with lid and steam for 13 minutes.
  2. In a separate pan add 1 cup of water and boil for 15 mins and strain.
  3. Add 2 tbsp of CBD-ghee to a skillet, add bayleaf, cumin, onion and then stir fry for a minute. Add tomato, paprika, turmeric, salt and continue to stir fry for approximately 2 minutes.
  4. Add the cooked chickpeas, and then fold in the steamed rice until everything is evenly distributed. AND YOU DID IT!
