CBD Recipes: Chee Chickpea Rice
HERE IS WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- 2 tbsp CBD ghee*
- 2 cups water divided
- 1/2 cup raw basmati rice
- ¼ cup raw chickpeas [soaked overnight in water and a pinch of baking powder]
- ½ tomato
- ½ onion
- 1 bayleaf
- ¼ tsp cumin seeds
- ¼ tsp turmeric
- ¼ tsp paprika
- Salt to taste
HERE IS YOUR METHOD:
- In a pan bring 1 cup of water to a boil, add the rice, bring heat to a low cover pan with lid and steam for 13 minutes.
- In a separate pan add 1 cup of water and boil for 15 mins and strain.
- Add 2 tbsp of CBD-ghee to a skillet, add bayleaf, cumin, onion and then stir fry for a minute. Add tomato, paprika, turmeric, salt and continue to stir fry for approximately 2 minutes.
- Add the cooked chickpeas, and then fold in the steamed rice until everything is evenly distributed. AND YOU DID IT!
